Music is such a powerful tool. It can inspire you, motivate you, lift your spirit and lighten up your day. But it can also have the opposite effect. And that is why it is so important to listen to the right music. Or better yet; listen to christian music.
But then the question is, what good christian music are out there that my kids will enjoy? Well this article is for you, because I am going to list 10 Christian artists that your kids will love.
But before I get to this list, just a q uick disclaimer. Some of these artists or bands may not exist anymore, but their music are still available on iTunes and you will still be able to purchase their music for your kids. So that is why I still included them in my list
So lets get right into it!
- ABIGAIL DUHON
Abigail Duhon is a very talented young artists that does not only sing, but also acted in movies such as God’s Not Dead.
2. BRITT NICOLE
Britt Nicole has been in the Christian music industry for a while and her music has evolved over time. One of her most popular songs Gold is one every preteen girl will love.
3. THE RUBYZ
The Rubyz was a girl band that formed part of the tween ministry iShine.
4. JAMIE GRACE
Another young artist that was part of the iShine ministry, but went on to do bigger things. She was later signed at TobyMac’s record label Gotee Records.
5. ALEXIS SLIFER
iShine produced a lot of young Christian artists for kids, and one of them is the former member of The Rubyz, Alexis Slifer. Even though her song Famous For has a more mature sound to it, majority of her music is greatly suited for kids.
6. MISSION 6
At number 6 we have Mission 6, and this one is for the boys. Yet another group who made a name for themselves from iShine, but are now all grownup and still making music for God. Their earlier music is perfect for kids, and I am sure their later music will also be enjoyed.
7. RILEY CLEMMONS
This artist have one of the strongest voices in the industry. Great energetic pop sound kids will love.
8. PURE NRG
This group is exactly what their name say – they are Pure NRG (energy). Unfortunately they don’t exist anymore, but again their music are available on iTunes.
9. VICTORY5
Victory5 was South Africa’s very first Christian teen pop group and received numerous award nominations in their time. They too don’t exist anymore, but all their music videos are available inside the Tween Xstream platform.
10. TOBYMAC
And at number 10 is TobyMac. I added Toby to this list because his music almost caters for all ages. Yes, some of his music may not be suited for preteens, but there are quite a few that does.
